Safeguarding is a condition of holding a credential. A lapse in certification suspends that credential automatically, without further process.

Every credential holder completes safeguarding training before commissioning and renews it annually. Concerns can be raised with the national safeguarding lead directly. A concern is never handled by the person it concerns, and raising one in good faith cannot be held against a member.
References and statutory checks completed before any placement involving children or vulnerable adults.
Training is dated and recorded on the register. A lapse suspends the credential.

Cases, training completion and outcomes are reported in the Safeguarding Annual Review.
The Nigerian safeguarding policy document, the named lead, and the correct local statutory reporting bodies. These must be accurate before publication. If a person is in immediate danger, contact the emergency services first.
